Alumni Career Services

The UO Alumni Association works in cooperation with the UO Career Center to offer services to meet the needs of alumni seeking assistance in building their careers. You are welcome to continue using all of the Career Center services for up to six months after you graduate. At that point, the Career Center recognizes your alumni status, with the following services available to you.

Free services available to all alumni

• Career Library-contains employer directories and job information on specific occupations and industries. Electronic resources are available through the Career Center's website, which provides links to local, national, and international databases.
• Career Counseling-one 30-minute session with a career counselor.
• Career Fairs-admittance to all Career Center career fairs. Visit the Career Center website for upcoming fair dates and lists of employers registered to attend.
• UO-JobLink-the UO Career Center's online system for managing the job search for UO students and alumni. Features include:
  • Apply for jobs online
  • Access to an additional exclusive "Alumni Job Search" database, including regional, national, and international opportunities
  • Store resumes, cover letters & transcripts electronically
  • Create job search agents
  • Receive the Career Center email newsletter
  • Access to campus interviewing schedules

Alumni Career Services Package

If you desire additional career counseling and planning services, the Alumni Career Services Package offers access to the following (in addition to the services previously described):

• Career Counseling-four 30-minute appointments may be scheduled with a career counselor to discuss career planning and job search strategies during the six month period of service. Please call the Career Center to schedule a preliminary appointment to discuss this option. Additional 30-minute appointments are $25 each.
• Alumni Career Network-assists alumni seeking to expand their network or pursue new professional interests. Alumni are matched with two professionals from a 2,500 mentor database in their desired field of interest and geographical area. Guidelines will be provided to enhance your success.
• Career Success Seminars-Resume, interview, and job search workshops, led by staff and regional employers, are offered throughout the year on campus. Registration is available through the Career Center website or call the Career Center for more information.

Pricing: $48 for UO Alumni Association Members, $64 for non-UO Alumni Association Members

Optional services

• Career Assessment Tools-A guided career exploration process that can be useful in identifying a person's values, interests, personality, and skills as they relate to the world of work. Please call the Career Center for more information.
  Pricing: $100 with Alumni Career Services Package, $250 without.
