PEACE CORPS: Video Presentation This Week!

Did you know that the University of Oregon is ranked #6 in the nation for graduates who are currently serving in the Peace Corps? There are 76 graduates serving in a possible 73 countries. Since 1961, when the Peace Corps was founded by President Kennedy, more than 2,000 UO graduates have risen to the challenge to serve other nations by promoting technical skills, cross cultural understanding, and peace. The strength of Peace Corps lies in the volunteers who commit two years to living side by side with communities at need around the world.

Peace Corps volunteers' benefits include full medical coverage, ample living allowances, flexible vacation time, student loan deferment, and travel expenses paid in full. Peace Corps currently needs students educated in the following fields: education, information technology, the sciences, business development and environment. However, students from all disciplines are encouraged to apply.
