Scholarship opportunity in Washington DC
 Interning in Washington, DC? $1000 UO Alumni Association Scholarship
The UO Alumni Association National Capital Chapter awards one $1000 DC Intern Scholarship annually to a UO undergraduate or graduate student participating in an internship program in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. The goal of the DC Intern Scholarship Program is to facilitate skills and career development through interactive hands-on work experience. It is designed to assist you with some, but not all of the living and/or travel expenses incurred during your internship. The National Capital Chapter welcomes applications from any UO student without regard to age, race, gender, disability, or ethnicity.
The scholarship is $1000 and the application deadline is December 7, 2007. The recipient will be notified by December 19, 2007.

Cross-Cultural Solutions Information Session

Carlton Rounds will speak about Cross-Cultural Solutions' international volunteer and intern opportunities in the areas of Health, Education and Social Services. Programs operate in 12 countries: Brazil, China, Costa Rica, Ghana, Guatemala, India, Morocco, Peru, Russia, South Africa, Tanzania and Thailand.
Carlton is an alumna of Cross-Cultural Solutions, having traveled to Peru in March 2007 prior to working for CCS. During the information session, he will be showing a new video of Cross-Cultural Solutions in India and speaking about his experience as an international volunteer.
You'll have a chance to ask questions about 2 to 12 week programs, Volunteer Abroad and Intern Abroad, or the one-week option, Insight Abroad.

The Career Center hosted 30 schools who provided information for programs in psychology, business, law, health, medical, biomedical, biological and life sciences, education, counseling, education, journalism and communications and more.
