Volunteers Needed
Volunteer to Help the Career Center
We are looking for a team of students to help with our Career Fairs. This is a great opportunity for students that don’t have a lot of time, but would like to volunteer. Helping at the Career Fair is a great way to network and meet employers at a more personal level. For those who aren’t sure about networking, the volunteer position will provide a window to view what goes on at a Career Fair in a less intimidating manner.
Career Fairs are only a few times a term. Interested students would help with various tasks such as showing employers to their table, helping employers set up, helping students navigate, as well as help with check-in and various tasks. If interested please contact Sean Landry at ccevents@uoregon.edu or 346-6020.

Career Success: Jamie Burke with Sherwin-Williams Paint Company
Duck Finds Fun and Family at Sherwin Williams!
Jamie Burke, a University of Oregon graduate has made her home at The Sherwin-Williams Paint Company. After only four months in our Management Trainee program she is an Assistant Store Manager in Oregon City. In her words Jamie enjoys working at Sherwin Williams because, “each store is like a family. The members look out for each other and help each other succeed.” She recommends a career at Sherwin Williams to all graduating ducks.
With Jamie’s background as a track and field member at University of Oregon she knows about what makes up a great team. Her degree in sociology and minor in business prepared her for the challenges of running a paint store. She also has found success while attending University of Oregon as a professional wrestler on the TV show “Tough Enough”, which she fought her way to the final round. We think Jamie is tough enough to be a success in the competitive business of retail paint sales. Sherwin Williams is looking for other Ducks seeking career opportunities. Stop by the next career fair and speak with Jessica Weher – another successful graduate from the University of Oregon!
