Let's face it, thinking about preparing for graduation and a job search is scary. The Career Connections Program is here to help you with that. What is the Career Connections Program?A one-credit class offered through various departments. It meets once a week for ten weeks for fifty minutes. That's ten classes where you get to focus on who you are, what your career interests are, where you want to be, as well as learn about the tools you'll need for a job search. You'll finish the class feeling more confident about your resume and your career interests. What do you do in class?
But we do more than just show you: we help you find two career professionals working in careers that are interesting to you so that you can do two informational interviews as part of class. We strongly encourage you to take a class in your major, if offered, or a class that fits your interests since each of the classes' material is tailored slightly differently, although the assignments are the same. |
