Identify Your Skills & InterestsAre you a people person? Planning expert? Creative genius? Number cruncher? Knowing about your interests and inherent talents is important to your decision-making in college. The UO Career Center offers a variety of resources to help you. Individual Career Counseling You can visit with a Career Counselor Monday through Friday by coming to drop-in or scheduling an appointment. Counselors are available to help you learn more about your interests, values, personality and skills and discuss issues such as major choice and exploring your options after college. Workshops and Classes The Career Center offers quarterly workshops on a variety of topics including self assessment, career exploration, resume writing and interviewing. Topics vary fall, winter and spring terms. On-line Resources Would you like to start this exploration process on your own? UO students have access 24/7 to Oregon CIS, an on-line assessment and career exploration program. You can work through the program on your own. Career counselors are also available to talk with you about your results and help you develop your next steps. |
